January 5th Club Meeting
Our first meeting of the year had 5 members present.
Membership dues for the year is still just $10 for everyone in your family.
Starting the year off with $535.25 in the clubs checkbook.
John Edwards shared the newsletter that he found that Crawford County rescinds the RAGBRAI ban. Iowa Legislature changed the bicycle use code releasing counties from liability for incidents that may occur. Changes have been made in participation waiver releasing local governments from liability.
If you thinking of going on RAGBRAI you can go online to register for passes. The clubs quota is 25 weeklong passes. Two RV passes is all the club can apply for. March 1st is still the clubs deadline. The route will soon be announced.
Next meeting will be February 2nd ground hog day. Let’s hope for a warm early Spring.
March 2nd Club Meeting
Not sure if March came in like a lion or a lamb but it sounds like the weather is to be better later this week for getting the bike out for a spin.
It was reported at our March meeting that RAGBRAI fees have been sent to the Register with 15 week long passes this year and 2 RV passes. Last year it was June 5th before the tags arrived. As soon as they arrive John L will get the tags to the members that are going on RAGBRAI.
Remember Daylight Saving time is March 8th more daylight to ride bike after work.

April 6th Club Meeting - It was cool, Ok down right cold, so no one rode their bike to are April meeting. We had 8 members at our meeting.
Membership to League of American Bicyclists is due for 2009. The club voted to renew are membership and that is $45.00 for the year. Next month we need to decide about renewing the insurance policy.
The only other bill at this time is for web site domain name and server space.
Something NEW this year will be are cleanup along the Rec. trail. At our May meeting we will set a date and time to do some cleanup on the trail. The club will be buying pizza for the workers that help with that project. Arrangements are being made for a couple Gators or ATV's to haul the garbage.
Warm cycling weather is on the way.
